limbo…

oh yes, i know it well…

balancing on the precipice…

leaning and swaying…

trying to decide what’s best…

it’s the point of surrender…

it’s the point of giving up…

it’s complicated and it’s confusing…

but, the best things happen…

when you least expect them to…

i still have faith…

and, i still have hope…

i can get what i want…

and, i will…watch me…

today, i am grateful for…

…new seasons of bloodline, house of cards, and orange is the new black, on netflix…

…a beautiful sunrise of fuchsias and violets…

…an early morning walk with buggs, although it was really humid and sticky…

…four cups of black coffee, in my favorite mug, which is just generic white, 1950’s diner style…

…five different types of tournament solitaire (klondike, spider, free cell, pyramid, and tri-peak) to keep my busy mind from wandering, too far…

…i’m grateful that my friend, g***e, made it home safely from, india…where she had hip surgery. i wish her a very, speedy recovery…

…all of my friends…

…r*****d taking us girls to the omelette house for breakfast…yummy eggs…

…the money to pay, r*****d, back what i owed him…

…the fact that i get paid tomorrow…

…a quiet evening without r*****d. he went out gambling…

i am strong and healthy. i am able and agile. i am open to possibility.

namaste.

tonight’s meditation…

i have shared this meditation before, but it is one that is very beneficial to everyone. it is on overcoming obstacles in our lives.

we all have roadblocks, doors that slam shut, and things that just seem to appear out of left field.

sometimes, we need help to clear our minds, relax, and get focused…especially when we find ourselves facing an obstacle.

tonight’s meditation:

a meditation…

…for focus…to get and stay focused. this is a quick and easy meditation. you can use it anytime you feel scattered, unorganized, or stressed.

tonight’s meditation:

may 5, 2017…

today, i am grateful for…

…waking up before the birds and taking buggs for a nice long walk, before it got too hot outside…

…three cups of black coffee…

…time to finish the last cards, of the suit of hearts for my friend’s birthday gift, before having to go to the doctor…

…getting my gabapentin and baclofen refilled…

…a nice conversation with my friend…

…help from the nice lady from us bank, who is getting my $120 back from compatible partners/e-harmony…

…the delicious hamburger patty that w***y made for dinner…

…air conditioning and a fan to be able to beat the heat…

…strength, health, freedom, and independence…

i am healthy. i am vital. i am worthy of love.

namaste.

oprah/deepak 21-day meditation experience, days 20, 21, & 22…

dear friends,

i can’t believe how many of you participated with me in this experience throughout the world. i was contacted by many new friends from some surprising countries, all sharing the same mind. all of us seeking “hope in uncertain times.”

i want you all to know, that i never deserted you. the first absence: i took some time to explore the opportunities that my renewed hope brought to me. the opportunities filled me with happiness and joy, like i hadn’t had in years.

the second: i’ve been taking some time to meditate, feed my soul, and fuel my hope through art. i’ve been going through my experiences of “home” and thinking about what each have taught me. i’m focusing my hope. i’m open to possibilities. i’m hopeful.

today is the last day of our 21-day meditation experience, but our hope goes on. we’ve learned that our hope is our strength…to stop, listen, and ask, “what is this experience telling me?” and, that hope is always there, in every moment.

also, just in case you were wondering, i realized that we were given a bonus of day 22. i will continue to post meditations, if anyone wants to continue along with me on this journey.

all the best…namaste.
