a recipe…

…for overnight oats…
an excerpt from an email:
i was going to give you this earlier but work was busy.
this is a good breakfast food to make before bed and then it’s ready and portable in morning.
overnight oats
ingredients:
1/2 cup rolled oats (old fashioned works but can be really odd, soggy consistency)
1/4 cup greek yogurt
1/2 cup milk of choice (almond, coconut, cow)
honey or agave syrup to taste (adds sweetness)
1 tablespoon (+ or -) chia seeds
mix all these ingredients in a glass jar or sealable tupperware container.
now, mix ins!!! here you are only limited by imagination .
fresh berries
dark chocolate morsels
almonds or other nuts
cinnamon or other spices (to taste)
bananas
granola
cereal (bran flakes, corn flakes)
unsweeted flaked coconut
flax seed
vegan marshmallows
stir, seal and refrigerate overnight.
some of these things i would not add till right before you eat (like cereal)
i can’t eat this anymore cuz i had it pretty much every day for several months. but, i hope you enjoy them! it fills you up with sustained energy.
i’m so tired i am sorry if this makes no sense.
